The Railway Group Standards are authorised technical standards and operating procedures for system safety and safe interworking on Britain’s railway. They are issued and managed by the Rail Safety and Standards Board (RSSB).

All companies and organisations involved in Britain’s railway must adhere to these standards.

From time to time, it becomes necessary to issue a change to a standard. As a cross-industry organisation, RSSB is in charge of this process.
