• PTS DVD shortlisted for SHP award

  02 September 2008 The PTS DVD, an interactive training DVD produced by Lucid for the Rail Safety and Standards Board (RSSB) and the Association of Train Operating Companies (ATOC), has been shortlisted for an award at the SHP IOSH Awards 2008.

• Interactive DVD receives High Commendation at the Railway Forum Innovation Awards

  14 August 2008 The PTS DVD, a training DVD produced by Lucid for the Rail Safety and Standards Board, was shortlisted for the 2008 Railway Forum Innovation Awards in the Teamwork and Cross Industry Partnership category, and received a High Commendation.

• Specialist software package for signalling engineers

  09 July 2008 Lucid has been commissioned by Network Rail to redevelop a specialist software package, the Route Drivability Tool (RDT).

• Community Safety Communications

  10 June 2008 Lucid has been awarded a two year contract by the Rail Safety and Standards Board (RSSB) for the review and ongoing development of the Community Safety Communications campaign.

• Success of PTS DVD – Assessment Version

  23 May 2008 The Assessment Version of the PTS DVD has proved so popular since its launch in September 2007 that a second print run has already been requested.

  24 April 2008 Following the success of the interactive PTS training DVD for operational staff, a General Version has now been released.

• Training Course Development and Delivery

  13 March 2008 Lucid has been commissioned by the Rail Safety and Standards Board (RSSB) to run a consultancy project for two training courses. The project will analyse requirements, develop content and deliver training.

  26 February 2008 Demand is still extremely strong for the 21st Century Professional Driver DVD and Assessing Safety Critical Communications CD, both produced by Lucid over a year ago.

• Training DVD for Britain's signallers

  24 January 2008 Lucid has been commissioned by the Rail Safety and Standards Board (RSSB) and Network Rail to develop a training DVD for Britain’s signallers that provides guidance on lifestyle and looks at various aspects of professional signalling.

• Interactive guide for specialist software

  13 November 2007 Lucid has been commissioned by Network Rail to develop an interactive user guide to a specialist software package, the Route Drivability Tool (RDT). Developed by the human factors consultancy Human Engineering, the RDT allows signalling engineers and ergonomists to assess the impact of a signalling scheme design on the driver’s workload early on in the design process.

  17 July 2007 The 21st Century Professional Driver, an interactive DVD produced by Lucid, received a High Commendation at the Rail Industry Innovation Awards 2007.

• FlashPoint 2.0 launched

  17 July 2007 The Lucid technical team has recently completed the development of version 2 of FlashPoint, our interactive application framework. The framework was built using Adobe Flash technology, a popular method for adding animation and interactivity to applications and web sites.

• National conference for ATOC DMG

  12 July 2007 Lucid represented the rail industry Association of Train Operating Companies Driver Manager’s Group at the National SPAD and Operations Risk Conference.

• Lucid team expands again
